Grace Doctrine Church is now broadcasting its Bible classes live over the Internet. In order to access these live broadcasts, your computer needs to be equipped with the following:
- a soundcard and speakers or headphones
- a modem (Computers can have different types (dial-up, DSL and CABLE) and speed modems. A modem capable 56 Kbs or higher is recommended.)
- a connection to the Internet
- a web browser like Internet Explorer or Netscape (version 4.0 or higher recommended)
- a copy of Real Network's Real Player (or Real One Player) installed on you computer.*
*Important: You do not need to purchase REAL PLAYER PLUS OR SIGN UP FOR ANY TRIAL PERIOD. The company offers an enhanced version of the utility that costs money. You do not need the enhanced version nor do you need to subscribe to ANYTHING to use the player software. The BASIC Real One Player will suffice. When you are prompted to provide personal information, including credit card information, click the CANCEL button and decline all other offers from Real Networks.
When listening to class, there may be times where you experience "net congestion" which can cause a brief pause in the audio or the audio may stop altogether. The net congestion is caused by excessive traffic on the Internet and, for the most part, must be tolerated. In the case where the audio does stop, simply press the PLAY button to start it again. If that does not work or you receive an "error code" attempting to connect to the live class, please email your name and the error number you receive to info@gdcmedia.org.
